The year was 1786. Ludwig Dehne opened the doors to his soon-to-be-famous confectionery while Mozart's "Le Nozze de Figaro" premiered at the Hofburgtheater across the square. Made of five layers of dark and light nougat, the tasty Figaro cube is a reminder of this early Demel era.
